plainly beautiful - two ways
You can do simple and sensual in so many ways. Or at least, in two ways.
1) Softly precise, like at Calvin Klein -


The dress with the holes is especially wonderful - such an interesting way of dotting something, without using using polka dots. I like it when Francisco Costa is not trying to make women look like boxes.
2) Languid and lush, like at Vera Wang -


It's so rich in texture but understated and without fuss, and I love the loose, easy silhouettes.
Both collections also make me rethink how I feel about black, which to me, has been done too much in the "fierce" way, or sometimes too austere. These are wonderful but understated, clothes that shine in a quiet way.
