the good old days

I keep coming across images of the fall Balenciaga collection when I'd rather not. To sooth my eyes, I thought I'd go through a wonderful Vogue Nippon editorial from 2004 of one of my absolute favourite Balenciaga collections. It was one where Nicolas Ghesquiere was still doing something very "him", but with a Balenciaga influence, before he moved on to the space-age couture thing. These looks are five years old, but I would have no problem wearing them now.
