fierce, part II
The post title, admittedly, is very unoriginal. But it's quite a fair word to describe Rick Owens' tough, cool aesthetic and the beautiful sculptural leathers in his fall collection. I don't love the overwrought flappy boots, but love the leather cowl-neck tunics, the angular, moulded jackets, the simple cashmere tanks that interspersed the more dramatic looks. Mr Owens' creations have a clean, spare line, where the deliberation of every seam is obvious, and I love a designer who doesn't do the obvious, but doesn't become overwrought either.
