Because it didn't seem all that hard finding my first two tulip skirts, I didn't think of it as a tricky item to wear. but third time lucky, I am not. I've been thinking of getting a black one, but I've tried at least five versions from various places, but none worked out. Either the hem is too fitted, the pleating is overdone, the length is odd, the fabric is too light, too heavy. The worst - from the side, it looked like something was trying to push its way out of my lower abdomen.
Trying on clothes, whether I buy them or not, is always an enlightening experience - about your body, fit, fabric, style, colour.
