passion

Magazine: Vogue/ France - Feb 1994
Editorial: une passion pour jeanne d'arc

Model: Stella Tennant
Photographer: Paolo Roversi

I've just finished reading 'The Name of the Rose' by Umberto Eco and my mind is tripping a bit over Christianity and religion and the Middle Ages and saints and heretics and mysteries and libraries and somehow coming across this editorial inspired by Joan of Arc makes perfect sense.

Plus I think the clothes are kind of awesome and Paolo Roversi's style is just right for this shoot and I love Stella Tennant because only she could work that kind of hair and look elegant at the same time.

It all works, doesn't it? I nearly didn't recognize her!
