re-imagined

Okay granted, they didn't exactly adapt the most challenging aspects of each runway look for everyday wear, but I like any fashion shoot that doesn't just blah the entire runway look into a spread. This one shot by Terry Richardson from French Vogue actually has quite a few looks I would rip off for real life, which doesn't happen very much when I flip through French Vogue.

I particularly like this look, below, especially the Balmain leather pants paired with the Prada shirt. Leather pants! Never thought the day would come where I admired a pair. It's also the inspiration for the outfit I wore on Friday.

And this is what I wore to work on Friday. I was told from a distance I looked like a tall, thin boy. I'll just ignore the 'boy' bit...

Yes, just ignore it; people have limited imaginations and can't picture a girl looking like you do: chic and sharp.

you know, 9 times out of 10 i'd rather the more dramatic, fantastical version to the "streetwear" style.

enc: thanks for the kind word, helps me keep my chin up (higher).

editor: i do enjoy looking at something else apart from the fantastical from time to time. unless the fantastical is really, really well-done.
