the silent world

This was my last significant jewellery crush (also aquatic-themed) from some years back. I saw it on the letter from the editor page from US Vogue (Anna Wintour and I had the same taste!) and it's never left my mind since.

What has left my mind is its provenance. I believe it's antique Cartier and it was sold at S J Phillips, but I'm not hundred percent sure because my Swiss cheese memory has forgotten what I read, and it never occurred to me to make a note of it when I clipped it out into my scrapbook. I would make a terrible historian.
