looking good lying around
I have a tendency to be drawn towards editorials of women lazing around and looking very sloppy chic doing so, and here is the latest of my obsessions - Mini Anden shot by Pierre Bailly for The Face. (It also helps that Mini has lovely bone structure and freckles.) Fashion editorials work on me best when they reflect something I see in myself, but in an idealised, stylish state - basically it's how you want to see yourself. Which is food for thought because it makes me wonder if this is my fatal flaw - the desire to see things as I want it to be, blind to faults that I don't want to see. But then that's the magic of fashion - it suspends everyday life and allows me to indulge in a bit of fantasy and the imagination of others.
