"We laugh and laugh, and nothing can ever be sad, no one can be lost, or dead, or far away: right now we are here, and nothing can mar our perfection, or steal the joy of this perfect moment."
From "The Time Traveller's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger.
So you did it! I'd have had a mix of knots in my stomach and rush to the head getting out of the store with that package! Congratulations on such a lifetime acquisition!!
beautiful! i just have to say i really like your blog - just stumbled upon it and had to pry myself away from older posts :) its really refreshing to find bloggers who care about longevity and value rather than instant fashion
Thanks everyone for the comments. I'd been setting aside money for a watch and decided my latest change of job was a significant one, and a good occasion to mark. I do hope to wear it forever, or at least, a long time!
Aissa: I loved that book, although I think if you don't feel fully engaged by the characters there isn't any point trying to finish it because the book it all about them. If you still have the book, it's definitely worth a try!
son: Thanks! Having started out not blogging for anyone else but myself, I'm always surprised that people read this :)
Congratulations! What a special purchase. You'll truly have it for a lifetime. I covet.

Hi!! Totally trolling on your watch posts. Did you get this in the steel? I need advice on it and planning on marking my personal milestone with a timepiece as well. I appreciate the help! Thanks!
