i would love to know more about your camera and what you think of it. i'm always cruising, circling, curious about cameras. i envy your ability to cut around an image like you did with your photo - i don't know how to do that (so embarrassing to admit).
I still haven't had a chance to take it out for a day and use it. My sister found it challenging but in a good, fun way. It's a Canon 550D btw, quite entry-level I think, but plenty exciting for us!
I cut my images using the lasso tool in Photoshop, which I also use to make collages. Still lots of things about the programme I have to figure out...
