fill the hole

Ever since this happened to my one and beloved pair of loafers (it's been three years since they came home with me), I've been keeping an eye out for a new pair.

I want a pair of classic driving shoes, and hadn't seen anything that fit the bill (and within my budget), until I saw these at Massimo Dutti (that place is soooo bad for my wallet) -

This is a dreadful picture for the post because the ones I want are actually facing away, in the top right corner. But I couldn't find anything else. The blues ones are lovely in real-life but I can see it clashing with some of my clothes, so the brown ones are likely to be safe bet.
I've been eyeing them but have not tried them on, but I think one month is plenty of time to be stalking anything. Satisfied that I'm making a considered decision, I shall pop to the store some time soon to give them a spin.
I wouldn't be surprised that they turn out not to be The One. I often idealise things I see and obsess for ages, and then try it on to realise that it doesn't fit like I imagine it...

I have never bought anything at Massimo Dutti, but Clarks has loafers - have you looked there?

-h: Am planning to, but would also like to try on the driving shoes to see what they feel like to walk around in. If they're cushier then perhaps it's not a bad thing to bid farewell to these.

Ammu: Yep, but didn't see a style I liked, either the colours are wrong or the styles too stiff.

Massimo Dutti shoes are pretty decent. I have bought several pairs before, including the ones that just fell apart. Which might not be the best indication of quality come to think of it...

feels like you're talking about me! i stalk beloved items too. i decide that they are "mine" even if they stay at the store, and i visit them.

Haha, I 100% identify with the feeling that things are "mine"!
