Read about the ongoing Writers' Guild of America Strike and about viewers who have had to go without their favourite shows, and felt a twinge of sympathy for them, and then a pang of worry that pretty soon it's going to affect us (it hasn't yet because since the syndicated shows here are usually at least one season behind). And then I felt depressed because I realised that if the local writers went on strike, it would be a GOOD thing, because it means I'll never have to see another trailer for 80s' Rewind/The Noose/Maggie and Me ever again. When is Channel 5 going to create a show people can watch without cringing?
