evening trousers

I was recently invited to a wedding dinner taking place in June. Naturally, my first thought was of what to wear.

I love the idea of trousers for evening. I don't see myself in a trouser suit but I'm imagining a beautiful, elegant top in a rich material, worn with slim but slouchy trousers. I might even break out a high heel for the occasion if it feels right. Wonder what in my closet will work...

Sidetrack: I read here that Devi Kroell left her company! Why?! I'm fairly neutral about her accessories but I've been following her ready-to-wear and I liked what I saw.
