Work has been quite insane lately, hence the need for a quick escape to Bali when inexpensive air tickets appeared.

Since I spend most of my waking hours working and thinking about work, it seems fitting to put together a post consisting of work outfits worn over the last couple of months. They're nothing special - I'm hard-pressed to say anything about them. But then I like dressing to go unnoticed.

I love the consistency of your style. And that sleeveless white top is gorgeous. Looks like Vanessa Bruno - wispy and elegant.

Yup, real dressing for real people, but still with a sense of aesthetics and style. Excellent! Have to say, I love the bottom left outfit. So right on in terms of balance and proportion.

Perfect outfits! I'm so envious that you can go sockless and sleevesless!

Lovely - I like your selection of jeans. I'm currently surviving on a single pair of 6 year old levis and they're looking a little tatty.

I was going to say what Ammu was going to say about consistency but she already said it. I like the simplicity behind the outfits - two pieces and minimal adornment. It's what I would like to wear more and look like but it's not what I look like when I wear similar. I often feel like I am missing something from my outfits when I do an outfit post because I wear little jewellery and feel like I should be adding interest somewhere but as you've proved, it's okay to keep it simple.

You wear denim so well, and don't even get me started on your shirt collection. I've been feeling the same as you - been dressing for the hectic schedule of uni/library/uni/more library trying to get my last ever assignments done (!???!!!!). It's been a fortnight of really big jumpers and loafers for me (But when isn't it haha?)

love how you wear your cuffed jeans with your nude ballets / oxfords!
These are chic, practical and casual outfits which aren't all that different to mine. I like how you have a uniform that's unique to you.

Ammu: Thanks, it's actually that knit top i got from COS

Nomadic D: Thanks!

Fleurette: Thanks! You would not envy the shine level on my face, thanks to the weather that enables me to go sleeveless and sockless...

Kate: thanks! i'm a tad embarrassed that i rotate between nine pairs of jeans - they had better all be awesome to justify their extravagant presence.

Sue: thanks for saying it again, nonetheless :) i do aim to keep my clothing item count as low as possible actually, because it's hot to layer. And i've reached the point where when i wear any jewellery, i find it endlessly distracting and end up taking it off.

hannah-rose: sometimes i think finding a uniform means i get to shop less, but actually i means i want MORE of the same thing, ie shirts!

pret a porter p: thanks! it's so funny you point that out because for the longest time i yearned to be artfully dishevelled but i've realised i simply don't know how.

eileen: thanks! i'm very lucky that i get to dress down for work.

yes I like it...but i discovered better ones at koko nara, on tras street in the tanjong pagar area! definitely worth a try, although you will leave the restaurant smelling like grease.

that blouse is indeed rare pop of colour in my closet, fulfils my occasional desire for something bright nicely, haha.

alexandra: thanks! the darker pair is from H&M, i think the cut is called SQIN. Pretty good for the quality, they're five years old and going strong. The lighter pair is from Diesel, the cut is called Matic. I like the quality of their denim.

miss sophie: Thanks! I can't get rid of my cuffing habit now, any other proportion doesn't feel right..

marlene: Thanks!

I love what you're doing there with sleeve length, every variation is 'just right' if that makes sense? Not sure if you are rolling them or if they are cropped, but I dearly with I could perfect the art!

Although I am very fond of autumn, these images remind me of how long I shall have to wait to shed the cold weather layers.

lapindelune: I have to cuff my shirt sleeves, I don't like the way they look most times otherwise. Makes me feel stiff.

Hi, I'm loving all your jeans, skinny but not too revealing and just the right amount of fade. Can you reveal what brands they are and maybe write about your favourites (if you haven't done so already?) Thanks.
