It's not hard to guess what my favourite colour is. Also, feeling new love for that old denim skirt.

this color palette looks fantastic on you.

I'm mostly in some form of blue tone - not sure what it is about blue that I'm so drawn to.

Love the outfits, and that your style is just so apparent by looking at a small snapshot of them. I need that!

i love your shades of blue and taupe looks :) envious that you're tanned and able to wear skirts and oxfords with bare legs!

I love these outfits - it's winter here so I'm always in navy, but this post is making me long for faded denim.

fantastic colour palette... we seriously have the most similar taste, I would substitute a pair of cigarette pants for your skirt but other than that...

can't wait to get back into this uniform when I'm in sydney!

I love the 3rd outfit so much! You look very elegant.
Also love the way you're wearing your Chanel, so casually cross body!

You look so relaxed. It's amazing the feelings that clothes can convey. I think it's safe to say that if I didn't work in a corporate office, getting dressed everyday would be easier... and I would have less clothes. My wardrobe would be filled with easy loose pieces that look comfortable and great such as the ones you are wearing.

Love the black slacks (and everything else!).

I love the denim skirt! Its the perfect medium blue wash imo.

The whole outfit looks so polished (with the reissue), casual and comfortable.

Am curious as to what you will wear for CNY..hehe

That's a very consistent style snapshot, and the colour palette is really nice. I like the shirts, especially the first one.

It makes me want to ditch heavy knits and yearn for spring outfits!

joy: thanks! i do wish it could be just a tad cooler...

pret a porter p: these are good ones! from the days where zara yielded something useful for me.

quinn: thanks!

jamie-lee: blue reminds me of so many things i love (sky, sea, water) and it seems to suit every mood.

i think dressing the same way all the time isn't difficult; figuring how to try new things while staying somehow consistent is the real art!

miss sophie: sunshine is all well and good, but working up a sweat just walking to catch a bus isn't!

kate: i'm in navy, year round!

hannah-rose: thanks! i'm sure you're willing to put off summer outfits a little longer to enjoy more of that amazing europe tour of yours...

aissa: thanks! crossbody is my favourite way of carrying it, although admittedly it rumples my clothes...

catssaymeow: i have to say i am being spoiled by my casual work environment, and sometimes i am at a loss when i need to smarten up. i agree it's a big money saver not to have to maintain a "work" wardrobe!

petrichore: thanks!

eileen: the skirt has faded nicely over the years i have to say.

hahaha i'm all armed this year with "prosperous" colours! scored a top in the massimo dutti sale last year that i saved for cny.

kali: thanks! i do like knits but sometimes i am relieved i need not deal with something so high maintenance.

alexandra: thanks!

I swear I left comments on a few blogs the other night but they all seem to have disappeared. And now I can't put what I want to say in the same way but it went along the lines of you have a fabulous frame for carrying off the looks that you wears. You're perfectly proportioned, long slim legs yet a feminine build. And hence the fact that you wear flats so well. I am currently hankering after pale lace ups after seeing your collection. Fingers crossed that this comment updates and that I am not going mad and imagining things I wrote late in the evening :o(

Sue: *blush* you're too kind. Sorry to hear about the comments, I can't think of what might be the problem but I'm quite poor with tech troubleshooting.

I actually favour light-coloured shoes, and only have one pair of black shoes. Black flats often look frumpy on me and black boots make me look like a police officer!
