The Kennedys are pretty much an American obsession, but even I couldn't escape the charms of Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, whose style captivated me more so than her marriage to John F. Kennedy Jr. (though I supposed without the attention that comes with dating and marrying a Kennedy, I would not have known of her).
I admire her confidence to strip down her look and to stick to it. Her style is timeless and without fuss, and to me it seems fresh even now, a decade (and more) after her passing. You could not buy her chic with money, you have to completely believe in the merits of putting on a white shirt and a long skirt as it is and walking out knowing you need nothing more.
