summer whites

The weather has gotten warmer and just walking on the street for ten minutes has me longing for air-conditioning - and I don't particularly like air-conditioning for all sorts of reasons.
I think the heat in Singapore (or anywhere) is one reason why I am partial towards white and ivory clothes. I like the clean-ness, the way it dazzles in the sun, the way it can be airy or crisp depending on the fabric and its understated simplicity. And of course, it's the coolest shade to wear in the heat.
The Cameron Diaz editorial in June's issue of Vogue US captures my love for light-coloured clothes beautifully, breezy and calm and relaxed. Excellent inspiration as I stagger out into the heat each morning.

sigh. I feel the same way. The heat is just torture. On another note, I miss your outfit posts a lot but I have been reading your wardrobe items/pieces posts and am enjoying them.=)
